I remember my first encounter with an iPod - my friend's iPod Mini. I couldn't believe that you could store all of this music and dance around without the song 'jumping' like my personal CD player. I bugged and bugged my parents to buy me one for Christmas and they delivered. Not much socialising was done on that Christmas Day by myself. Whilst I had been waiting, the iPod Nano was released and all the kids at school got one but I didn't care, I had my black and White iPod mini. I liked that it felt vintage didn't even think about upgrading until I got to college.
Since then I've had an iPod Touch and now my MacBook and iPhone 4 which I cannot live without.
This morning at about 8am, my sister charged into my room with the news that Steve Jobs, founder of Apple, had passed away. Steve was the force behind innovation that has changed and pushed technology and the way we use it everyday. Apple was so exciting that I would and continue to cancel plans just to find out first about new products that make me tell everyone I know within five minutes. I also found out today that Steve Jobs dropped out of college which really gives me hope that someone will be inspired by his story and will turn their life around and make a difference too.
R.I.P Steve
